Developing good neighbors skills and values in children through programs that nourish, educate and support them while providing life-changing experiences for college students through leadership development internships.
WEEKEND BAGS
During the four-week Summer Enrichment Camps, students receive breakfast, a hot lunch, and snacks every day.
Additionally, every Thursday, they take home their Good Neighbors bag of food for weekend meals. A new book is also placed in the bag. The county schools provide breakfast and hot lunches through a USDA Summer Nutrition grant. Good Neighbors provides snacks, the bag of food and books.
We are intentional about providing healthy foods. High sugar, high salt foods are avoided as much as possible. As often as possible, fresh fruits and vegetables are also provided.
Healthy snacks are provided during the after-school S.E.A Programs.
