The Smith Mountain Lake Songwriters Festival is a multi-day celebration of music, storytelling, and community set against the breathtaking backdrop of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. With 550 miles of shoreline and stunning open water and mountain views, our festival brings together talented songwriters for an unforgettable experience.
Over the course of three days, venues around the lake will host intimate outdoor performances, featuring sets of songwriters sharing their craft in an up-close and personal setting.
Our festival is proudly presented by Hook, Lines & Singers, a Smith Mountain Lake-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting local charities and businesses through music. Run entirely by volunteers, we are committed to making a difference in our community—one song at a time. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward our mission of giving back.
